  A short two and half hours from Boston, the Maplewood is located in the shadow of Mt. Washington in the beautiful White Mountain countryside. Maplewood reflects all of Donald Ross's creativity in demanding both course management and shot making ability. Beautifully laid out and recently renovated, the Maplewood is one of the few Donald Ross courses in Northern New England that remains true to the architect's original vision. In addition the course features a rare par six which is over 650 yards long, demanding par threes and beautiful water holes that are challenging for any golfer. Donald Ross’s Maplewood is available for group outings and business retreats offering function and banquet rooms that can accommodate small or large groups of up to 250.

This golf course, which opened in 1898 as a 9-hole course, was later expanded into an 18-hole course by a young Scottish architect, Donald Ross. The Bethlehem course was Donald Ross's first golf venture in New Hampshire.
